NAAN KHATAI

Mmmm.. Wanna try some quick, yummy, tasty and mouth melting naan khatai? Here is the recipe for you.. Try it and love it! :)



INGREDIENTS:

2 cups Plain Flour
1 cup Caster Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
6 Green Cardamoms (powdered)
Ghee/ Oil as required
Onion Seeds (Kalonji) as required

METHOD:

1. In a bowl, add plain flour, baking powder, cardamom powder, caster sugar and mix it well.
2. Add some ghee or cooking oil and knead the mixture till it forms a dough.
3. Make small balls and press it with hands, put it in greased baking tray, sprinkle some onion seeds on the top of each naan khatai.
4. Bake it for 20 minutes, or till it leaves the tray.

NOTE: If you don't have caster sugar, take 1+1/4th cup of granulated sugar and grind it with the cardamoms, then add in plain flour.

Let it cool on room temperature and then serve.

GAJAR KA HALWA

Special gift for all sweet dish lovers.. Try this sweet, rich and DELICIOUS recipe and share with your friends too.. :)

INGREDIENTS:

2kg Carrots (grated)
2litre Fresh Milk
2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Khoya or dried milk
1/2 cup Mix Dry Fruits
6-8 Green Cardamom
1/2 cup Ghee
Silver paper for garnishing
Barfi or Qalaqand for garnishing (optional)

METHOD:

1. In a large pan, add grated carrots and milk together. Cook it till milk gets dry completely and keep it aside.
2. In another pan, heat some ghee, add green cardamoms and let it fry for few seconds.
3. Add all the cooked carrots in ghee and mix it very well.
4. Add sugar in it and stir it continuously till the water of sugar becomes dry completely.
5. Add khoya and some dry fruits, mix it and serve hot.
6. Garnish it with silver paper, some dry fruits, khoya or some qalaqand.

NOTE: You can adjust the sugar as per your taste, and you can also increase the quantity of carrots and milk according to your family size.
Remember, the ratio of milk, carrots and sugar will remain same.(i.e: 5kg carrots, 5 litres milk, 5 cups sugar)

GULAB JAMUN

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups Milk Powder
1 Egg
1 tsp Oil
1 tbsp Plain flour
1/2 tbsp Semolina (Sooji)
2 tsp Baking Powder
Milk as required for making dough
Oil for deep frying

FOR SYRUP:
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Water
4-6 Green Cardamom (Elaichi)
few drops of Kewra water

METHOD:
1. First make the syrup by dissolving sugar in water.
2. Add cardamom seeds and let it boil, add some kewra water and turn off the flame.
3. In a bowl, add milk powder, egg, oil, plain flour, samolina, baking powder and kneed it with the help of milk till it forms a dough. (it should not be too hard or too soft)
4. Make small balls (about 30-32 balls) and deep fry it on slow flame till it becomes large and brown.
5. Take out from oil and keep it for 2 minutes, then add these balls into warm sugar syrup and soak in it for 10 - 15 minutes. Take it out and serve.

Serve hot and enjoy these soft and tasty home made gulab jamuns with your family.:)
