KASHMIRI TEA

Just think about winters.. Extreme cold.. and a cup of hot and aromatic kashmiri tea with lots of dry fruits.. Mmmmm... :p So just try this recipe now.. And recieve alot of appreciations which will make your day!! :)




INGREDIENTS:

2 cups Water
1.5 tbsp Kashmiri Tea Leaves (or Green tea leaves)
2 pinches Soda Bicarbonate (Meetha Soda)
2 cups Chilled Water
8-10 Green Cardamom (roughly crushed)
Half Star Spice (gul.e.baadian)
1 Black Cardamom (crushed)
2 Cloves (longain)
Milk as required
2 tbsp Milk Powder
Chopped Almonds and Pistachios for garnishing.

METHOD:

1.In a pan, add 2 cups of water, kashmiri tea leaves and soda. Let it cook for 15-20 minutes on slow flame till it reduces to 1.5 cup.
2. Slow the flame and add 2 cups of chilled water gradually and throw this tea up and down with the help of deep spoon, till its colour turn to dark maroon. Cook it continuously.
3. After few minutes, add star spice, crushed black cardamom, crushed green cardamom and cloves and cook it for 5 minutes on medium flame.
4. Stain this tea in a seperate pan. Add powdered milk in fresh milk, and add this milk mixture in tea till the colour of the tea turns into light and beautiful pink. Cook this tea for few minutes and turn off the stove.

Sprinkle some almonds and pistachios on the tea cup and serve this aromatic and hot tea to your family and friends!! :)
